José Adrião, Lisboa 1965.

Graduate of the Porto Architectural University in 1991, after training with Josep llinás in Barcelona , under the orientation of Eduardo Souto de Moura.
In 1996 he became a scholar for the 4th European Artists Pépiniere , for a 6 month period in Graz , Áustria, for the investigation project.
In 2001 he concluded his masters on the metropolis program at the U.C.B/C.C.C.B in Barcelona , coordinated by Ignasi Solla-Moralles.
From 2001 to 2004 he was member of the Board of Directors, and co-responsible for the Pallor of culture in the Regional South section of the Order of Architects. In the nineties he was co-responsible for the Editorial coordination, of the D.A Magazine- documents of Architecture.
José Adrião participated as project assistant (2002/2003/2004) in various international seminars of architecture at the Autonomous University of Lisbon.
Since 2005 he has been co-responsible for the journal of architects which is the official journal of the Order of Architects.
Assistant to the 6 th year project at the Autonomous Lisbon university and 4 th year project at the Modern university of Lisbon .
In 1997 he starts an Atelier called J.A.P.P with Pedro Pacheco.
In 2003 he forms his on Atelier called José Adrião Architects.

1992: Terreiro do Paço contest in Lisbon , 2 end prize (1 st not attributed).
1993: expositive project, II trienal of architecture in sintra “in manifesto architectural “1 st prize.
1994: the Porto crystal palace library contest, 3 rd prize (1 st not attributed).
1998: Garcia da Orta garden project, Expo 98 en closure in Lisbon .
1998: European 5 contest, dislocations and proximities, chelas 1 st prize.
2001: requalification of Praça da Liberdade contest in Loures, 1 st prize.

2004: 1 st prize for the arqueological area of the Vale do Ocreza contest.
2004: 5 th prize and honorable mention for the Ribeirinha de Alcoutin front contest.
2005: 1 st prize for the Barreiro Market and municipal garden contest.
