CASA PROCURA CLIENTE

The main objective of this project was to turn a store with a ground floor and basement into a restaurant/fast food establishment. It would function mainly in the day than at night, its desired informality originated the name CANTINA. The eating and serving area would be located on the ground floor, the basement intended for technical areas such as kitchen and sanitary installations. The two existing structural pillars in the middle of the area, made the restaurants layout difficult, this conditioned the alteration of the store which was narrow and long (11mx4m). Regarding this, another solution was found, a low table(9x0.9m) that could be used as a workbench to attend clients, where they could also eat. As a result, the desired character of a canteen would be reinforced.
The table placed in the middle of the room helped incorporate the pillars, which were simultaneously considered as structural elements, not only of the building but also of the table.
As the project developed a lamp was also hung above the table, from the existing pillars.
